Reflections From the Living Room

📍 Room: The Living Room

Where do you feel safe enough to be fully yourself?

Reflections From the Living Room

We’ve spent this month in the Living Room.

We’ve talked about home.

The masks we wear.

The identities we’ve collected.

The strange process of becoming ourselves.

And the courage it takes to actually make room for who we are.

Perhaps you’ve noticed something.

Maybe the room feels different now.

You don’t have to perform here

Maybe this is the biggest lesson of the Living Room.

You don’t have to earn your place.

You don’t have to be useful.

You don’t have to be agreeable.

You don’t have to arrive polished and put together.

You can simply sit down.

You can exhale.

You can be complicated.

You can change your mind.

You can be yourself.

But home isn’t always comfortable

And perhaps that’s important too.

Coming home to yourself doesn’t mean everything suddenly feels easy.

Sometimes authenticity is uncomfortable.

Sometimes boundaries disappoint people.

Sometimes choosing yourself changes relationships.

Sometimes becoming more yourself means becoming less familiar to people who preferred the old version.

Home isn’t necessarily where you’re never challenged.

It’s where you don’t have to abandon yourself to stay.

What are you taking with you?

Before we leave the Living Room, take a look around.

What did you discover?

What did you recognise?

What mask did you notice?

What identity no longer fits?

What part of yourself are you finally giving more room to?

And perhaps most importantly…

Where do you feel safe enough to be fully yourself?

Not where you’re supposed to.

Not where you perform the best.

Not where everyone likes you most.

Where can you actually exhale?

The next room

Every room changes us in some way.

And once you’ve spent enough time somewhere, eventually you notice the door to the next room.

You don’t necessarily know what’s waiting on the other side.

You just know you’re ready to look.

So take what the Living Room has shown you.

Take the softness.

The questions.

The uncomfortable truths.

The permission to rearrange.

And when you’re ready…

step towards the Threshold.

Reflection

What did the Living Room reveal about you?

What are you no longer willing to perform?

What part of yourself feels more at home now?

And as you stand at the doorway…

what are you ready to look at next?

Keep unpacking.

One room at a time. 🏡
